This years hunting trips were canceled

Due to my father needing heart surgery we did not hunt this year. I will get moving asap after the new year with pictures and stories added to this site.

Black powder season ends today

In New York black powder season ends today. Black powder is getting bigger with hunters across the country. The only problem is it only one shot so get lots of practice at the range before you head out to your hunting spot. If done properly you can have fun and add to your trophy wall a nice buck. This is more of a challenge but well worth the time from what i hear from my dad who loves it.

Do you hunt state land or Private land how much success have You had send us pics and we will get them up there so you can add story line to it. This is a great time of the year You get to take first shot at the big deer before the guns come a blazing on opening day. and if You miss or don't have good shot to take You always have opening day to be a the same spot, waiting for Your shot with the gun in hand.

Time to sight in that rifle boy's

The last thing You want is to go into opening day with a rifle or shotgun that has a sight that off mark. so do Your self a big favor and get to the range and sight in that gun before You have no time.

Now is a great time to get new gear

End of summer is the best time to get new hunting gear stores want to move last years models to make room for this years.

It's time to get those permits in if you want option on opening day. So many people wait and wait and then try last minute to come up empty handed don't be one of those people get it done now and tell your hunting buddy's to do the same.

Scouting the land in the summer will help you score big in the fall

My father loves to scout and I know why you get to know where and when the deer will cross,feed,bed. Also you will see how much food is in the area and where its more abundant that year so You can adjust Your hunt accordingly to the conditions.

in the summer I really crave snowboarding

My father is always thinking hunting,even when he spear fishing he's hunting. to hear and see more Crazy Fish Tales go to our new blog Have lots of pictures of monster stripe bass from queen long island border to add very soon.

So one month from now my father starts with did you get the permit papers for this Oct.
he usually gets his in early so he can get a doe permit. I sometimes am to buzy and

miss out. That does not mean I can't get a doe permit from a ranger sometimes they have so many extras to take from the area this worked twice. depends on where you hunt if theres a ranger then you need to ask him.

What type of hunt do you like

Where have you been and what where you hunting. I know you like to hunt how far will you travel to hunt down the game of your choice. There are so many types of hunts white tail is the one I know the most. I also love to learn new hunts because it's more challenging to me.

Avoid scope eye

One thing to always remember when firing A rifle with a scope is don't lean in to scope with to close with your eye. Because believe me it is not A pretty Picture when it happened to my wife while the boys where taking there safety class we were in the range. the whole class was speechless this is what they were listening to all day and here it was. well Jennifer is doing fine and has not wanted to shoot again.
